Almira's experimentation with Verbatim theatre.

The following scene is something that I constructed using direct quotes from the answers of the questionnaire we constructed early on in the module. I selectively put together some of the answers that I felt best related to our piece and supported the messages we are trying to portray. By using these direct quotes from the public and feeding them back to our audiences we not only provide them with our individual/collective creative views towards the chosen subject, but we also offer a hegemonic view shared by a percentage of the general public.

Unfortunately to to the outbreak of Covid-19 we have not been able to film this scene successfully. However, I have attempted to illustrate, as best I can, how I would have liked this scene to have been performed.
