In this mood board it highlights a selection of colour arrangements with the black and red clearly Included within the board itself, black represents neutral characterisation with the black attire of each character, fitting to our company’s name “nameless” the neutral characterisation is also documented within the script of our performance with boy 1 & girl 1. Although I though it was best to show a differentiation between male and female characters with girl in black dresses and boy in suit trousers, reflecting on the club dress code as it is set In Club Chemistry. Likewise the black stools and cups help enhance this atmosphere in regard to showing realism, these are the sort of props we need to allow the space to become a real vessel and not just with our imagination as our target audience might not engage with the immersive experience fully if these elements are missing.
The red headbands, red has connotations of love, anger and danger. As we are exploring the element of sexual harassment the idea to have a dull red tone injected into the girls costume adds to the intensity of the situation and how the girl should be kept at arm’s length as she has a unpredictability about her. Through elements of using the headbands as a focus point when situations arise it will be better and clearer to see the most important elements of our scenes and know that as a costume designer I’ve thought about enhancing this as much as I can.
